  1. All those frivolous expenses really eat away at the money in the bank. It also helps to walk or bike when you run your errands. If you enjoy being home, cooking, gardening, and doing your housekeeping, you are way ahead of those who love to shop.

  2. I just read that Americans with all the rising prices did not cut back they now use credit cards to bridge the gap consumer debt us growing by leaps and bounds. Never a good idea.

  3. Most young people when getting engage do not talk about money, budgets, savings or percentages going to each. My profession would see young, 27/32 thinking this first house had to be their "forever" home. No first home is "forever". You grown, decide to have one more child and then have twins. And now you've "outgrown" your forever. When married and all the glitz is gone and the day to day rolls around and you, the saver, realize that you ended your first year with almost no savings if any. That's the start to the marriage first big glitch.
